CHRISTY AISH

Mental Performance Partner – Christy Aish, LPC

Founder: Unlocked Counseling & Mental Performance

In her work with athletes, Christy offers a personalized, holistic approach to mental performance. As a sports-minded Licensed Professional Counselor, she recognizes that the athletic journey is only one aspect of an athlete’s life. Her focus is on the whole person, not just performance metrics. She aims to understand each individual’s unique values and believes there is no one-size-fits-all approach to performance or wellness. I believe that athletes perform and compete at their best when they are aligned with what truly matters to them, and my goal is to help clients move toward that alignment.

While developing key mental skills such as mindfulness, visualization, and goal setting is often a piece of mental performance training, she also explores the deeper challenges that may be at play. This often includes examining identity, purpose, fear, pressure, and the narratives we tell ourselves. She believes that mental performance training provides an opportunity to improve finish times and stats but also fosters a lasting passion and joy in sport.

Core areas of her practice include managing performance anxiety and mental barriers, supporting athletes through injury recovery and return to sport, addressing self-limiting beliefs and building confidence, navigating athlete identity and life transitions, goal setting, and improving life balance alongside mental health and wellness.
